001The Brief
Traditional metronomes can interrupt a musician’s flow when a practice session or performance requires a tempo change. TAKT set out to reduce those interruptions with a device that moves between programmed tempos, so musicians don’t have to stop and adjust it.
-
002The Thinking
The concept needed to feel immediately familiar to musicians while offering a more considered experience. The brand drew on Swiss International design for a precise, confident, and professional visual language. The name, typography, and triangular forms connected the product’s function to its identity.
-
003The Making
I contributed across the project, from user research and brand strategy to product design and app UX. The triangular device echoed the logo, while the companion app and programmable tempo presets shaped the experience. Packaging, marketing, and retail applications extended the identity across the product system.

004The Result
TAKT brought product design, brand identity, and user experience together in a cohesive metronome concept, complete with working prototypes and a final presentation. Its defining idea—switching between programmed tempos without stopping—guided both the product experience and its visual identity.
